50 year old resident of Kuwait Mr AN cane to us in severe pain and retention of urine. He was catheterised and was relieved of his pain. His investigations revealed that he had severe enlargement of prostate and had urinary tract infection.

His urinary tract infection was initially treated with IV antibiotics and later he underwent Trans-urethral recection of prostate in one sitting.
