Single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS)
Many human diseases require surgery as a form of treatment. Some of the most common diseases include appendicitis, surgery for gallbladder stone. Laparoscopic surgery grew in acceptance after it was attempted for gallbladder removal surgery. Laparoscopic surgery offers many advantages like small cuts, less post-operative pain, early resumption of activities.
SILS was first described in 1997 for a gallbladder removal surgery. This technique goes one step further in minimizing post-operative discomfort. This technique involves performing the entire surgery through a single cut made in the belly button. Using the entire belly button skin, such a cut allows an area of 2 cm through which multiple instruments can be passed. Thus, instead of multiple cuts as in traditional laparoscopic surgery, SILS requires only one cut. This evolving technique offers even better cosmesis, single scar buried within the navel, lesser blood loss as compared to traditional laparoscopic surgery. With increasing public awareness and surgeon’s experience, SILS has allowed surgeons to perform same surgeries with fewer invasions to the body tissues.

My 3 years 11 month year old daughter was diagnosed with 10 mm kidney stone Dr.A.k.Singhal,Dr.Manish Dubey,and Dr.Ashwita Shenoy performed the surgery to remove the stone on May 30th with immense success. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care and professionalism demonstrated by this entire team.
From the very beginning,the doctors explained every detail of the treatment process with great patience and clarity, this provided us as parents with immense relief and put our minds completely at ease. The surgery proceeded very smoothly and thanks to the doctors expertise and dedication my daughter is now completely healthy and in excellent health

Had kidney stone surgery done by Dr Manish Dubey. All staff was cooperative. Doctor Dubey made me so much relaxed that I was not at all worried about the procedure. Other doctors in the OT were also very sweet. The staff is very nice, hospital is clean ,no smell of medicines, housekeeping services are very good. Hospital food is also very nice,tasty and healthy. Insurance procedure is also very easy. The surgery procedure went so smoothly. I would surely recommend Mitr Hospital and special thanks to Dr Dubey.
