Mrs X 53yrs old was diagnosed with multiple fibroids on ultrasound done for complaints of prolonged menstrual cycles with clots.She had also developed anaemia due to blood loss for about 9 months.She had 1 child and no bladder and bowel complaints.On examination uterus was enlarged and palpable.Case was discussed and counselled ,option of blood transfusion followed by Minimally invasive hysterectomy explained.
She was hospitalized and blood transfusion of 2 bottles given and on the 3rd day was operated .After surgery no more blood was given and was discharged as planned.Mrs.X was comfortably doing her day to day affairs within 10 days of her surgery.
