Bladder tumour

A 56 year old gentleman BBM, came to us with increased frequency of urination with pain at the end of voiding since 9 months. He was a chronic smoker since 25years.

He underwent ultrasound and diagnostic cystoscopy which revealed a huge bladder mass almost involving 60% of the bladder surface.

He underwent Trans-urethral resection of bladder tumour in 2 sittings spread over 15 days. Fortunately the tumour biopsy turned out to be superficial variety of bladder cancer.

He was put on surviellance and underwent multiple cystoscopies in next 3 years. He recieved immunotherapy in form of BCG twice to prevent recurrence.
